Basic programming concepts

Put your child to the test with our course specially developed for teenagers aged 12 and over

Program in Lua, the most widely used scripting language in game development, with AI support;
Create complete 2D games with the LÖVE2D framework, from the logic to the finished product;
Develop games with the professional Defold 2D engine, used across the industry;
Apply programming structures such as conditionals, loops, functions, tables and modules;
Implement game mechanics such as movement, shooting, enemies, collisions, sound and effects, and add scoring, lives, animation and menu systems to a working game;
Organise and polish a game project from start to finish independently.

Promote independence, code organisation and computational thinking in solving creative problems.

By selecting this course, we will aim to ensure that your child develops the following points:

Create a complete, functional 2D game in LÖVE2D with movement, shooting, enemies, scoring, lives, sound and visual effects (Lua Invaders project) with AI support;
Develop a game in Defold 2D, using game objects, components, animations, input and script logic;
Apply the principles of structure-oriented programming (variables, data types, operators, conditionals, loops, functions, tables) with confidence;
Work with professional game industry tools, preparing for more advanced projects.
